Adventures on the Road-Side in the Sunshine

Some days the inspiration just hits, and you’d be silly not to take advantage of it. I LOVE finding beauty in unique and unexpected places. From random stops along the road to hidden alley ways, especially at golden hour. When the character of light grows deep and warm.

On a lovely sunny afternoon on our way back from a gorgeous, secret little elopement - my beautiful witness Maite and I couldn’t help but pull over the side of the road in 3 different locations. (You’ll never get anywhere fast with me at golden hour - haha!) First to view the rolling hills covered in dormant vineyards and roaming sheep. Second where roadside bamboo basked in the warm orange glow of the steadily setting sun. And finally, on a wrong turn down a dusty dirt road where the final rays of sunshine painted gum trees almost pink.

These moments are what I live for in photography. Perfect light, spontaneity, embracing imperfections (like wrong turns and roadside stops) and just thoroughly enjoying the moment. Check out our little behind the scenes reel and some shots from our adventure below. x
